Understanding What Colleges Want
The college admissions process can be confusing, which is why it’s important to have someone knowledgeable and experienced to provide guidance. Different colleges look for different qualities, and by studying our past results and keeping up with annual updates from admissions officers, we ensure our students are positioned as strongly as possible for acceptances.

We're very good at what we do, but...
We cannot guarantee admission to any college — and anyone who does is not being honest. What we can promise is to work with every student to the best of our abilities and to always provide an honest, realistic assessment of their admissions chances during the first consultation.

Authentic stories, told with purpose

University of Pennsylvania: BA in Linguistics, magna cum laude
Temple: MEd
My joyful work as an admissions advisor and coach integrates my expertise in teaching, writing, editing, and college admissions. My applicants deepen self-awareness and sharpen their storytelling with unique insights into the person behind the résumé. In my 30 years in education, I have headed Gifted and Talented Education programs, homeschooled, taught university composition, coached writing and SAT, and led college essay workshops for students as well as writing workshops for teachers in reputable school districts. I have also published articles, narratives, and poetry the last 13 years. Media features including my thoughts on college readiness in Business Insider and discussion on iHeart Radio reflect my emergence as a national thought leader in education.

Erin Yoon
Cornell University: BS. in Communication, magna cum laude
A writer and editor for fashion publications based across London, Seoul, Tokyo, and New York, I bring multifaceted perspectives to narratology and creative writing. I have guided students admitted to top-40 universities through the college essay-writing process and have lectured on writing and literary analysis. I specialize in helping students identify the most memorable elements of their experiences and shape them into introspective essays that retain their distinct voice. I find the most rewarding part of mentoring to be helping students discover not merely how to tell their stories but why those stories are worth telling.

Michelle Zheng
Yale University: B.S. in Cognitive Science
Carnegie Mellon University: M.S. in AI Systems Management, Highest Distinction (summa cum laude)
As a first-generation student, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate the college application process. Over the past six years, I’ve tutored and mentored 25+ students—both U.S. and international—across college admissions, writing, and academics. I specialize in helping students find connections across their experiences, interests, and goals and turn it into a cohesive application narrative that goes beyond any single essay. I want each student to leave the process with essays they’re proud of and a much clearer sense of the story they want their application to tell.
